Our Services

Full-Scope Arboricultural Care

Most tree companies offer trimming and removal. We provide the full range of arboricultural care, from structural pruning performed to extend a tree’s life to plant health care programs that address root zone health before problems appear. Every service is guided by ISA credentials and ANSI A300 standards.

Tree Pruning

Structural and reduction pruning to ANSI A300 standards. Crown cleaning, deadwood removal, and formative pruning for long-term health. No topping, no flush cuts.

Tree Removal

Safe removal of hazardous, declining, or unwanted trees. Crane-assisted removal for tight access and confined lots. Every removal planned before the first cut.

Plant Health Care

Proactive management programs for trees and ornamentals. Soil therapy, targeted treatments, and documented monitoring. PHC is how trees stay healthy before problems become visible.

Tree Risk Assessment

ISA-standard Level 2 risk assessments for trees near structures and in high-use areas. Written reports, risk ratings, and mitigation options. Required by many HOAs and insurance carriers.

Tree Trimming

If you searched for tree trimming, you are in the right place. We meet you where you are and explain what your trees actually need.

Land Care

Mosquito control, outdoor pest management, and lawn fertilization through O’Neil’s Land Care. The same standard applied to the rest of your outdoor environment.

Our Philosophy

Knowledge Is the Point. Not Just the Sale

Most people make decisions about their trees from a place of uncertainty. They do not know what they are looking at, so they rely on the company that shows up to tell them what to do. That creates a situation where fear and urgency sell more work than honest assessment does. We decided early on that was not the business we wanted to run.

Our purpose is straightforward: give people the knowledge they need to make confident decisions about their trees, their property, and the living systems around them. When you understand what a tree actually needs, you are in control. You can make the right call for your property, your budget, and the canopy your neighborhood depends on. Knowledge replaces fear. Understanding creates responsibility.

Most tree companies show up and tell you what needs to be done. We show up, look at the trees, and tell you what we see, including if nothing needs to be done right now. We call this the Fair Exchange model. You get a clear explanation of what is happening with your trees and what your options are. We get the opportunity to earn your business with honest information. No fear language. No manufactured urgency. No telling a homeowner their tree is dangerous to sell a removal that was not needed. That standard has been in place since we opened in 2008 and it is not going to change.

When people feel informed rather than alarmed, they make better decisions. They also refer their neighbors, come back when work is actually needed, and build the kind of long-term relationship where we can genuinely help them care for their property over years, not just close one job.

How We Work

We Assess Before We Recommend

Every job starts with understanding what you are actually concerned about. After that, our arborists assess your trees to see what is happening and whether it warrants work, not just to generate a quote. We look at species, past pruning history, branch structure, soil, and site conditions before recommending anything. Some visits end with a recommendation to wait. That is valuable information, not a wasted trip.

For trees and properties with complex conditions, we use diagnostic tools that go beyond visual inspection. Treatment before diagnosis is the most common mistake in tree care. We do not make it.

Soil Testing

Soil samples analyzed for pH, nutrient levels, organic matter, and the soil’s capacity to hold and deliver nutrients to roots. The foundation of every Plant Health Care and lawn fertilization program. We build programs from what the test shows, not from a product we have already decided to apply.

Leaf Tissue Analysis

Foliar samples sent for laboratory analysis to identify what the tree is actually absorbing. Used when canopy symptoms do not match soil conditions. A tree can be growing in soil with adequate nutrients and still be unable to use them, and leaf tissue tells us why.

Pathology Assessment

On-site evaluation of disease and pest symptoms using field identification and, where indicated, laboratory pathology samples. An accurate diagnosis before any treatment is applied. Applying the wrong treatment to the wrong problem is how trees get worse, not better.

Why O’Neil’s Tree Service

Scientific Tree Care Since 2008

Apollo O’Neil holds the ISA Board Certified Master Arborist credential, the highest professional certification issued by the International Society of Arboriculture. Fewer than 2% of ISA-certified arborists hold it. When Apollo earned the credential, there were only five others in the state of Florida who held it. It is the diagnostic and scientific foundation that every recommendation at O’Neil’s is built on.

BCMA-led

Apollo O’Neil, Board Certified Master Arborist, sets the standard every job is held to. That credential requires documented field experience, a rigorous written examination, and ongoing continuing education in arboricultural science.

ANSI A300 on every job

No topping. No flush cuts. No lion’s tailing. ANSI A300 is the national standard for tree care operations and it exists because it produces better outcomes for trees. We follow it on every job because we agree with it, and because the results speak for themselves over time.

Education first

We explain what we see before we recommend anything. A homeowner who understands their trees makes better decisions. Fear-based decisions, especially decisions made without understanding, produce outcomes that are rarely good for the tree, the property, or the client relationship. Education changes that.

Fully licensed and insured

Workers’ compensation, general liability, and professional liability. Certificates available on request. Our ISA credentials are publicly verifiable at treesaregood.org. Ask for both before any company works on your property.

O’Neil’s Tree did a fantastic job trimming/elevating our trees! They arrived promptly and were very polite and professional. They trimmed our trees exactly as we discussed with their arborist before scheduling the appointment; they did a great job cleaning up too. O’Neil’s is very knowledgeable, and they care about the health of your trees. Would hire again!

Hired O’Neill’s to take down a diseased tree and grind the stump. They provide a lot of information before coming out to provide an estimate in order to make sure that you know the process and can ask questions. When they came to take down the tree they worked quickly, efficiently and, most importantly, safely. Would definitely hire again.

O’Neil’s Land Care

The Same Standard, Extended to Your Whole Property

O’Neil’s Land Care provides mosquito control, outdoor pest management, and lawn fertilization for the same properties we manage trees on. The trees and turf on your property share the same root zone. What you apply to one affects the other. When one company manages both, those decisions get coordinated rather than working against each other.

Our Land Care programs are designed by arborists who understand how soil, turf, and tree health interact. That is a different foundation than a standard spray program built around a calendar and a product line. Integrated pest management means we use the minimum intervention that produces the result, and we adjust based on what we actually find on each visit.
